Dental Surgery Offered By Us

Tooth Extraction

An extraction may be advised if you have severe tooth decay, gum disease (periodontitis), dental trauma, or issues with your wisdom teeth. To get ready for dentures or other prosthetic devices, it may be necessary to extract some of your teeth.

Dental Implants

Most people agree that dental implants are the most dependable and long-lasting tooth replacement alternative available. These tiny threaded posts, which are created from zirconia or titanium of the highest quality, are inserted into your jaw to replace the roots of lost teeth.

Periodontal Surgery

Our dentist may advise periodontal treatment if you have moderate or severe periodontitis. The plaque and bacteria that have built up behind your gums will then be flushed away by your surgeon as they clean the roots of your teeth.

Corrective Jaw Surgery

Orthognathic surgery, often known as corrective jaw surgery, treats skeletal issues with your jaw bones. This technique may be advised to alleviate facial imbalances, repair misalignments, or enhance chewing performance.

Who Performs Oral Surgery?

An oral and maxillofacial surgeon performs surgery on the mouth, jaw, and face. Procedures are carried out on the gums and bones that support your teeth by a periodontist, a gum expert. Following dental school, oral surgeons and periodontists must complete an additional three to four years of education.

Frequently Asked Question

We provide a range of dental services at Hollywood Smile Dental Clinic, from cosmetic dentistry to regular oral health services.

After oral surgery, taking good care of your smile can speed up recovery and reduce the chance of complications. Following oral surgery, you SHOULD AVOID the following activities:

  • Use a straw when drinking
  • Vigorously spitting, swishing, or rinsing
  • Eating foods that are hard, brittle, or chewy
  • Engaging in a rigorous workout
  • Lifting large objects
  • Using tobacco goods or smoking

Many people take two days off work, including the surgery day. Still, some take three days off, notably if they underwent a general anaesthetic and had several teeth pulled.

To be safe:

  1. Wait 24 hours after tooth extraction before cleaning or rinsing your mouth.
  2. Brush carefully and stay away from the extraction spot as much as possible.
  3. Avoid gargling with mouthwash, water, or any other dental care solution.

The sutures at the extraction site will come undone. They will emerge on their own in 3 to 10 days. Do light to moderate exercise the day following surgery to reduce swelling and make you feel better. Get up, move around, shower, and partake in regular activities as much as possible

Unfortunately, you will have to lie on your back. Depending on how rapidly you heal, you must do so for three to seven days while sleeping on your back. Sleep on your side or stomach is not a good idea because it can compress your cheeks and increase the pressure there.
